Management
- The Management of the Thompson Women’s Training Institute is under the management of the Diocese of Cuttack, Church of North India. In accordance to the Article 30 (I) of the Constitution of India, the Diocese of Cuttack, (CNI), a religious minority community, managing this Institute especially for the benefit of minority Christian community/Tribe. However this Institute is open also for all community.
- Govt. Aided: Since 1965 the institute has been receiving grant-in-aid from the Govt. of Orissa. agreed to bear hundred percent recurring costs on appointment of teacher. That the Government of Orissa extended Direct Payment Facilities with effect from 1.3.1992 in the manner as laid down in Government Order No. 15893(2) dt. 12.6.74 to the Institution vide order – dated: 8.4.1992. The staffs of this institute are receiving triple benefit from the Government.

Details of the Recognition:
After the establishment of the NCTE, 1993,this institution went through the statutory provisions of Act and the application for recognition was made in 1996. As per the Order of Eastern Regional Committee (ERC), National Council for the Teacher Education vide No. ERC/7-20/2001/2555, Dated the September 5, 2001, “In exercise of the powers vested under Section 14(3) (a) of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Act, 1993, the Eastern Regional Committee grants recognition to Thompson Women’s Training Institute, Cuttack, Mission Road, GPO: Buxi Bazar, Dist: Cuttack- 753 001(Orissa) for Teachers’ Certificate (C.T.) course of two years duration from the academic year 2001-2002 with an annual intake of 50 students.
